BRAND HISTORY

Established in London in 1926, Oliver Goldsmith is one of the oldest eyewear companies still manufacturing their original designs. Started by P. Oliver Goldsmith, an optical salesman who was finding the specs of the day to be uncomfortable, uninspiring and unflattering, he set out to transform both their design and manufacture and along the way became synonymous with iconic stars and style.

Oliver Goldsmith pioneered the concept of eyewear. Hence bold looks that scream high fashion are typical of the brand. The original OG retro collection (available at Mortimer Hirst) is completely handmade to achieve the quality, elegance and comfort the brand is known for. Each style is a recreation of an original design, ranging from the 1940s to the 1970s.
